Amagata Sumo ClubThe "Amagata Sumo Club", the predecessor of the Sumo Club, was established in 1976. The President at that time, Keiji Amagata, became the founder and began by gathering sumo wrestlers and local enthusiasts. Members range from children to adult, all sweating together in one arena. The group has participated in various competitions including the national competition, and achieved brilliant results. In addition, the group has been instrumental in sending three members on to debut professionally. Through sumo wrestling, we are committed to cultivating healthy civility and youth, and are endeavoring to make practices a place for human development.
