Amagata Sangyo has been working with the local community under the basic philosophy of "Customer First" while keeping in mind the trends of the times. Introducing the history of Amagata Sangyo's over 70 years of "contribution" and "symbiosis" filled with feelings for the local community.
1946
～1960
In 1946, Amagata Sangyo Co., Ltd. was born in the "Kenminkan" remaining from the war fires. In the midst of being unable to receive a satisfactory product supply, we survived each day by changing out incandescent bulbs and rewinding motor coils. A major turning point came in 1947. Receiving a "gold sign" representing a Hitachi distributor, in 1948 we relaunched as "Amagata Sangyo Co., Ltd.". Achievements steadily accumulated, and in 1953 the head office was relocated to Motoshiro-cho.
1961
～1974
Around 1960, the first home appliance boom arrived. Amagata Sangyo spun-off its home electronics department and established "Amagata Home Appliances Co., Ltd.". In 1972, "Amagata Housing Equipment Co., Ltd." was established, and sales of the three businesses, "Household Appliances", "Products Department" and "Housing Equipment", steadily increased. The home appliance department sold all of its shares to Hitachi during the peak. After that, focusing on the electrical equipment sales department and the housing equipment department, in 1969 the company moved its head office to Morita-cho. In 1971, the delivery department was spun-off and "Kashiwa Express Ltd." was established.
1975
～1988
In 1975, the head office was newly relocated to the present site in Kanda-cho. The industry entered the age of "electronics", and Amagata Sangyo started its semiconductor business. Evolving gradually starting from discrete semiconductors to become more Hitech, the company demonstrated its ability to sell microcomputers and jointly develop cutting-edge LSIs with major manufacturers. Later, the company focused on entering the information business, and in 1982 opened the OA showroom, the first among Hitachi distributors. The company realized its foundation as a Hitech trading company by further achievements such as the establishment of "Hitech Co., Ltd.".
1989
～2002
To nurture construction of the information business, new business strategies were developed starting with human resource training. With the advent of the Heisei era, preparations were made towards expanding the computer market. In 1991, the company placed emphasis on SE training at "Hitech Amagata Co., Ltd." and successfully made a quick transition from the stand-alone computer business to the PC network business. In the same year, "AMAGATA U.S.A., INC." was established in Hawaii. Since reaching the 50th anniversary of its founding in 1996, the company has grown into a global enterprise that is rooted in the region as a reliable outsourcing partner and promotes its business with world-class information technology.
2003
～2016
In 2005, the A-building was completed at the Kanda-cho head office thus marking a new step forward. In 2012, the Tokyo Branch Office was established in Meguro-ku, Tokyo for the purpose of collecting information on the Tokyo metropolitan area. In order to support the overseas expansion of local companies, in 2010 and soon after in 2014, "Amagata Singapore Pte. Ltd." and "BANGKOK AMAGATA SANGYO CO., LTD." respectively were established. As an "Integrated Engineering Company", we continue to work on solving various problems in the local community.
